About Us

Old Main STREAM Academy (OMSA) is a free public charter school located in Pembroke, NC. It was founded by local grassroot community members that continue to serve.

OMSA uses the Standard Course of Study (SCOS) and College & Career Readiness (CCR) Standards in daily curriculum to align academic instruction with STREAM goals, objectives, and activities. The curriculum establishes individual student expectations and accountability. OMSA embeds place-based education to promote and engage learning that is uniquely rooted in local history, environment, culture, economy, literature, and art.
